Betty L. Thompson, 69, of Cameron, Ohio passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Bishop Michael J. Bransfield Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia on July 19, 1949 a daughter of the late Richard S. and Ellen Jane Shriver Haught.
She was a retired employee of the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leona Jane Thompson; two brothers, Donald Wayne Haught and Robert C. Haught; one sister, Madlyn Sue Helvie.
Surviving are one son, Roger (Amanda) Thompson of Carl Junction, Missouri; one sister, Nancy Jane Shewmake of Smithfield, West Virginia; four brothers, Richard R. (Judith) Haught of Chester, West Virginia, Leroy (Penny) Haught of Smithfield, West Virginia, Bill (Denise) Haught of Smithfield, West Virginia, Kenneth (Mary) Haught of Keyser, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Justine Rydosz, Tiffany Thompson, Erin Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 with Pastor Leroy Haught officiating of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Smithfield, West Virginia.
Burial will follow in the Cameron Cemetery, Cameron, Ohio.
