Dorothy Mae Kilburn, 81, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born near Woodsfield, Ohio on March 9, 1937 a daughter of the late William and Estella Smith Koehler.
She was a retired cook for Riesbeck’s, Woodsfield, Ohio and was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ near Lewisville, Ohio.
Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, reading books, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and spending time with family at Seneca Lake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Kilburn in 1977; two brothers, Paul and Clarence Koehler; a nephew, Bobby Koehler; and a brother-in-law, Grant Ashburn.
Surviving are her husband, Dale Kilburn whom she married on August 22, 1957; one daughter, Kathy (Ron) Schilling of Woodsfield, Ohio; one son, Kevin Kilburn and his fiancé Krista West of Lewisville, Ohio; one sister, Evajean Ashburn of Columbus, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Beulah Koehler of Louisville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Eric Kilburn, Miranda (T.J.) Hamilton, Dustin Schilling; one step-granddaughter, Mikaela West; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Kolton Hamilton; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 with Rev. Susan Lehosky officiating.
Burial will follow in the Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.
