Wilson Family, My deepest sympathy to all of you. When I heard of Richard's passing what came to my mind first was "Well done my good and faithful servant." What a very special person Richard was, and this entire community is going to miss him dearly. He was always doing a marriage ceremony, funeral service, or visiting the sick and needy. We will all miss his smile and genuine concern for others. May God hold you in his arms and give you strength and comfort at this most difficult time.

I will always remember Rev Wilson as a friend, a brother in Christ, and a man who allowed me to share with others my faith and love of God. A few years ago, he reached out to me after reading something I had written and invited me to speak to his congregation at Sardis United Methodist Church. I have never forgotten that day because he and his church made me feel more welcome than any other place I have ever spoken. I will always remember his firm handshake, the warmth of his words, and his love for God and everyone he met. I have known more educated men of God, but none more full of the Spirit of God. I will miss you, my friend. You made a difference, Rev Wilson on me and I feel certain many, many more as well.

Eleanor and Family,
We are sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He had such a positive attitude about life, issues, and Monroe County. He served us so well on the Monroe County Park Board. We appreciate his years of service as well as advice as he helped make decisions about the Parry Park Museums. A brick will be placed in the front walk at the museum in his memory. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you lay your dear one to rest.
Sincerely, The Board of Trustees of the Monroe County Historical Society

Dear Eleanor and family, my sincere sympathy to all of you as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man. He was so special to many, many people and will be so missed! But find comfort in the knowledge that he had such a positive influence on so many lives! He always said that I was his favorite piano player and always made me feel so special. We will all grieve with you, but certainly celebrate the life he lived and now his eternal life with the God he loved and served so faithfully!

Wilson family I am so very sorry to hear of Richards passing. He was a wonderful person and a born leader. Richard headed me in a Eastern path and was a great influence in keeping me on track. I will always remember our talks and the lessons that were within the conversations. What a great person and teacher we have all lost. May god be with the wilson family going foreward and keep them strong. Thank You BROTHER

Eleanor & Family:
We are so very sad to hear of Richard's passing. We first met him when he pastored Zion United Methodist church. He was also the minister who dedicated all three of our children unto the Lord. He was a very caring man who always took an interest in you & made you feel as if you were very special to him. His love for his family was obvious, as he spoke often & with pride about all of you. He will definitely be missed. David & Amy Zehnder
