          Leanna J. Dimmerling, 75, of Sarahsville, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Newark, Ohio.

          She was born near Calais, Ohio on March 23, 1942 a daughter of the late Irvin and Cledith Leach Carpenter.

          She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Carlisle, Ohio. Leanna enjoyed playing bingo, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and most especially enjoyed being with her family.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gervis Hayes.

          Surviving are her husband, Richard E. Dimmerling whom she married on May 2, 1964; one son, Duane Dimmerling of Sarahsville, Ohio; three daughters, Debbie (Kirby) Moore of Caldwell, Ohio, Chris (Jon) Wise of Caldwell, Ohio, Jodi Harmon of Sarahsville, Ohio; one sister, Genevra Hayes of Quaker City, Ohio; two brothers, James Dale (Debbie) Carpenter of Summerfield, Ohio, Richard (Brenda) Carpenter of Summerfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

          Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

          Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Carlisle, Ohio with Father Wayne Morris as the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Carlisle, Ohio.

          Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
