Dear Mark, Marsha, and all of Shirley's family,
We are so sorry for your loss, and yet we are so thankful for the sweet release from suffering that has taken place. Shirley is so special in so many ways to us that only our hearts can hold it all. Shirley babysat for me and we always enjoyed sharing those memories. Shirley as a wonderful greeter at church. Even on the Sundays that she wasn't greeting, she arrived early to make sure all went well. Although her special spot in one of those front pews has been vacant for quite awhile, we still look that way and smile as we remember her there, always looking so beautiful and reverent. She was a marvel in the kitchen and her and chicken and noodles & cowboy beans are still unsurpassed. She was a real trooper when it came to working at church dinners. She could be everywhere at once and do it with such ease. We can just close our eyes and see her bustling about in her green apron that read "Have You Hugged A Presbyterian Today". Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you lay your Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and so much more to rest. Love, Bart & Joyce

I am truly sorry for your loss, I feel priviledged to have known Shirley. She was a strong and pleasant woman who always wanted to make you feel comfortable and care for you. As long as she was able she looked after my Mom at the MCCC, walking her to her room or the eating area. I feel sure she is now at peace, and will forever be in your hearts. Prayers for all of her family.

Mark & Marsha:
I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. However, I realize her battle is now over and she is at peace. I have great memories of both of your parents from so many years ago and fortunate that most recently I got to see your Mom and share some of those memories.
Take care and you are in my prayers.
