          Kathryn L. “Katie” Hines, 96, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Arbors of Woodsfield, Woodsfield, Ohio.

          She was born near Lewisville, Ohio on January 28, 1922 a daughter of the late Clement Hiriam Hines and Margaret Jane Winland Hines.

          Katie was a member of the former Stafford Church of Christ, Stafford, Ohio.  She was always a happy person and enjoyed her family and her extended family at the nursing home.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Elma Franks, Gladys Dilley, Edra Rose, Carrie Rutledge, and Annabelle Rose; three brothers, Edwin Hines, John C. Hines, and Mansel Hines.

          Surviving are a brother, Ellis (Vera) Hines of Woodsfield, Ohio, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          Private visitation and services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, near Graysville, Ohio.

I wish to convey my sympathy to Katie's family on her passing. I often saw Katie when I visited the care center and she always had a smile on her face to greet you. She was a beautiful lady and an inspiration to many for her loving ways in spite of her health condition. God Bless, Hattie Hines Byers
