Beverly June (Brownfield) Hanson

     Beverly June Brownfield Hanson, 89, of Lewisville, Ohio left this world on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her home with family members at her side.  

    She was born in Calais, Ohio on June 21, 1929 a daughter of the late James and Blanche Carpenter Brownfield.

     She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, and ran the family farm. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio. June was also a member of innumerable community organizations.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion LeRoy Hanson whom she married on October 11, 1947 and who passed away on February 12, 1996; a son, Stephen Franklin Hanson; a daughter, Carole Elaine Hanson; three brothers, Oscar, Herbert and Woodrow Brownfield; four sisters, Mabel Starr, Stella Mitchell, Bessie Bunting and Georgianna Starr; and a great grandson, Alex James Hanson.

     Surviving are one sister, Mary Lou Broomhall of Barnesville, Ohio; one daughter, Linda Lorraine (Paul) Lafferre of Lewisville, Ohio; two sons, Lewis David Hanson of Lewisville, Ohio, Gene Edward Hanson of Dexter City, Ohio; additional family member, Tiffany Abbott AKA Stephanie, AKA Linda Jr.; special friend Cindy Weddle; eleven grandchildren, Alison Hanson, Adrienne Riffle, Arianne Green, Lewis David Hanson Jr., Dawn Rose, Melissa Hanson, Trenton Hanson, Korri Glidden, Manoah Geese, Isaiah Geese, Nathan Hanson; twenty-six great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

     She had no equal.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

     Friends will then be received at the Woodsfield Church of Christ, 860 Lewisville Road, Woodsfield, Ohio from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 with Harry Summers and Keith Jones officiating.

     Burial will then follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
