George F. Pfalzgraf, 82, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on February 4, 1937 a son of the late Ben and Isabelle Barrett Pfalzgraf.
George was a former employee of Riesbeck’s in Woodsfield, Ohio. He was a farmer and owner of Pfalzgraf Livestock Hauling and Buying. He was also a wool buyer for the past 30 plus years. He attended the Stafford United Methodist Church, Stafford, Ohio. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his wife.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Bunfill Pfalzgraf; two infant sons, James and David Pfalzgraf; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Pfalzgraf.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol (Mike) Love of Lower Salem, Ohio; three sons, George (Michelle) Pfalzgraf of Lower Salem, Ohio, Steve Pfalzgraf of Lewisville, Ohio, James “Jim Bob” Taylor of Lewisville, Ohio; two sisters, Minnie Pfalzgraf of Marietta, Ohio, Hazel (Maurice) Ritchie of Lewisville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Dustin Love, Alicia (Dustin) Nau, Thad Pfalzgraf, Nathan (Stephanie) Pfalzgraf, Cheyenne Pfalzgraf and James Pfalzgraf; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Mya Nau; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 with Rev. Jim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
