Myron Dale Guiler, 83, of Sarahsville, Ohio (formerly of Summerfield, Ohio) passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, Ohio.
He was born in Sarahsville, Ohio on August 3, 1935 a son of the late Howard and Clara Davis Guiler.
Myron was a former equipment operator for Christman’s Quarry near Summerfield, Ohio and was a protestant by faith. He loved tinkering and collecting old tractors and listening to Alan Jackson music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Myrle Delores Poulton Guiler; a daughter, Tammy Gerst; two brothers, Lester and Marvin Guiler; two sisters, Eileen Williams and Beatrice Franks; two granddaughters, Amy Jo Guiler and Heather J. Brocklehurst.
Surviving are his faithful companion, Erma Wiley of Mt. Ephraim, Ohio; three daughters, Sharon Kay (Terry) Smith of Bethesda, Ohio, Delores Huffman of Barnesville, Ohio, Carolyn McElfresh of Beverly, Ohio; four sons, Dale (Joy) Guiler of Caldwell, Ohio, David (Tammy) Guiler of Summerfield, Ohio, Rick (Lisa) Guiler of Waterford, Ohio, Bryan (Jeannie) Guiler of Jerusalem, Ohio; two sisters, Lela May Zahela of Caldwell, Ohio, Juanita Graham of Senecaville, Ohio; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 with Pastor Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.
