Paul E. Archer, 88, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Carlisle, Ohio on April 14, 1930 a son of the late Clemence and Dorothy Mallett Archer.
He was a retired employee of the Conalco Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio and was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Leoba Hupp Archer on February 6, 2019; two brothers, Michael and Merlon Archer; a son-in-law, Randy Fleeman; two grandsons, Dalton Ludwig and Phillip Paul Archer.
Surviving are five daughters, Teresa Fleeman (Brent Ludwig), Catherine (Red) Woodby, Linda (Mike) McPherson, Pamela (Philip) Ludwig, Amy (Rick) Lewis; three sons, Gregory (Carol) Archer; Phillip (Debbie) Archer, Stephen (Vicki) Archer; grandchildren, Jason, James, Maria, Lindsay, Deena, Breanna, Daniel, Adam, Spencer, Joshua, Tyler, Justin, Thera, Evan, Derek, Devon, Sylvia, Cole, and Jesse; a bunch of great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019, where vigil services will be held at 5:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Gaydosik as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
