Rose Marie Rice

      Rose Marie Rice, 65, of Dillonvale, Ohio (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

     She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on November 6, 1953 a daughter of the late Ted and Anna Regina Preslin Slivinski.

     She was a retired supervisor for the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio. Rose was an organ donor and benefited several people by her Christmas gift of life.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Rice on December 12, 2005.

     Surviving is a sister with whom she resided, Mary Ann Slivinski of Dillonvale, Ohio; one brother, James Slivinski of Dillonvale, Ohio; two step-daughters, Shari(Brad) Nixon and Susan(Dave) Prickett both of Woodsfield, Ohio; one step-son, Jeff(Vanessa) Rice, Westerville, Ohio; several step-grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter and two on the way.

     As per Rose’s wishes, cremation will take place. Inurnment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
