Sylvia M. Jones

     Sylvia M. Jones, 94, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio.

     She was born in Cameron, Ohio on July 4, 1924 a daughter of the late Stephen and Rachel Ady Ault.

     She was homemaker and a member of the Jackson Ridge Church of Christ near Woodsfield, Ohio. She enjoyed knotting quilts and giving them away. She also enjoyed feeding everyone and you always left her house with a full stomach.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Jones on October 28, 2012; seven brothers, Floyd, Lester, Ralph, Stanley, Hilbert, Clyde and Chester Ault; two sisters Erma Jones and Vera McConnell; and one step great grandson.

     Surviving are three sons, Roger (Jean) Jones, Steve (Lisa) Jones, Bruce (Judy) Jones, all of Woodsfield, Ohio; two daughters, Donna (Wade) Groves and Janet (Kevin) Westfall all of Woodsfield, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Donna Ault and Naomi Ault; ten grandchildren, Rick (Veronica) Groves, Angie (John) Hupp, Dave Jones, Mike (Stacey) Jones, Chad Jones, Stacey (Kevin) Alleman, Autumn (Derrick) Parden, Jordan (Sheri) Jones, Brooke (Cole Schneider) Jones, Caleb (Hannah) Westfall; three step grandchildren, Angelina (Josh) Krawec, Allison (Brad) Payne, Alex (Trevor) Dunn; fifteen great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 with Sam Bartrug officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Woodsfield, Ohio.
