          Alfred R. Dugan, 81, of Marietta, Ohio (formerly of Stafford, Ohio) passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Arbors of Marietta, Ohio.

          He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on October 9, 1935 a son of the late Harold Nathan Dugan Sr. and Helen Irene Marshall Dugan.

          He was a retired laborer and was a former glass blower at the former Fenton Glass Co., Williamstown, West Virginia. He attended the Stafford United Methodist Church, Stafford, Ohio.

          Alfred enjoyed fence building, reading, fishing, and hunting ginseng.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Nathan Dugan Jr. and a sister, Mary Westfall.

          Surviving are four daughters, Linda (Dean) Erb of Woodsfield, Ohio, Terrie (Gary) West of Stafford, Ohio, Sonya (Ronnie) Blair of Lebanon Ohio, Kathy (Richard) Staats of Marietta, Ohio; one son, Bruce Dugan and his companion, Tiffany Rhodes of Leesville, Louisiana; one brother, Wayne Dugan; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

          There will be no visitation or service. As per Alfred's request, his body was donated to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Athens, Ohio.
