          Ocie Kathleen Hannum, 80, of Caldwell, Ohio (formerly of Summerfield, Ohio) passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, Ohio.

          She was born in Summerfield, Ohio on October 4, 1937 a daughter of the late Charles and Molly Barnes Barnett.

          She was a long time secretary at the former Summerfield Elementary School, Summerfield, Ohio and she was also a former clerk for the Marion Township Trustee’s. Kathleen was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the former Summerfield United Methodist Church, Summerfield, Ohio.

          She was an avid Ohio State fan, and an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Kathleen will be mostly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family and a sweet friend of the community at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, Ohio.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronald D. Hannum on May 5, 2008; two sisters, Wanda Christman and Barb Biedenbach; three brothers, Ronald “Pete”, Jack, and Jeff Barnett.

          Surviving are one daughter, Denise (Tim) Wells of Summerfield, Ohio; three sons, Darren (Lisa) Hannum of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, Derek (Patricia) Hannum of Orlando, Florida, Doug (Michelle) Hannum of Summerfield, Ohio; one brother, Charles Barnett of Senecaville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Cody Hannum, Tia Burns, Jamie Wells, Simone and Max Hannum, Andrew, Alex, Frankie, and Logan Hannum; and six great grandchildren.

          Friends will be received at the Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, 202 Main Street, Summerfield, Ohio from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at noon on Saturday, December 9, 2017 with Rev. Mark Slay officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.

          Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Guernsey Inc., 9711 E. Pike Rd., Cambridge, OH 43725 or to a charity of the donors choice.
