     Glenn E. Bailey, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Oaks of Bethesda, Zanesville, Ohio.

          He was born in Masontown, West Virginia on March 12, 1930 a son of the late Charles and Ethel Bailey.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor N. Bailey who passed away January 9, 2016; two brothers, Charles and Howard; and two sisters, Margaret and Vernetta.

          Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Debbie (Bob) Brown of Cambridge, Ohio and Cheryl (Craig) McPherson of Akron; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

          Glenn was a retired furnace technician for the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio.  He was also a Korean War Army Veteran. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and hunting.  Glenn was a devoted Christian who shared the message of God with those he knew and met. He was also a member of the New Life Church, Woodsfield, Ohio where he served as a Sunday school teacher and custodian for many years.  He also spent many hours on Sunday afternoons visiting the residents of the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab of Woodsfield, Ohio, sharing the gospel.

          Friends and family will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 with Pastor Gordan Bippus officiating.

          Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

          Military services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Debbie, Cheryl, and Family, my deepest sympathy on the passing of Glenn. I always enjoyed your parents, and what kind, peaceful, and loving people they were. Hold on to the memories you have made, it will help during these most difficult times. May you all feel God's love and compassion during these most difficult times.
