           Floyd William Baker, 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away upon arrival Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio.

          He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on November 4, 1935 a son of the late Martin Western Baker and Francis Lula Ricer Baker.

          He was a retired electrician for the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio. He attended the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio and was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family events, and his dog Spike.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, George, Claude, John, Ray, Paul, and Ed Baker; a sister, Mary Catherine Stevens.

          Surviving are a son, Floyd Western Baker of the home, two brothers, Charles Baker of Marietta, Ohio, Martin Baker of Woodsfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

          Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 with Rev. David Cottrill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

          Military services will be held at the funeral home Saturday.

It is with a sad note to read of this GREAT FRIEND , FLOYDS passing . We were friends many years , starting way back in grade school . HE also became a fellow Electrican at Ormet . MY SYMPATHIES go out to any and ALL the Family members ! I too have lost a Wonderful Friend !

Baker Family, my deepest sympathy on the passing of Floyd. He was a quiet man, but cer-tainly did enjoy talking about his hunting and fishing experiences. I know he was an important part of the Baker family. May God give you peace during these most difficult times. In Christian Love, Pandora
