Randy Ray Williams, 56, of Graysville, Ohio stepped into heaven and was embraced by Jesus on March 30, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio at the James Cancer Center. He was blessed with 56 years on this earth and lived in Graysville, Ohio.

He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 27, 1961 a son of Howard and Norma Williams and the brother of Mark (Barb) Williams. He adored his wife of 34 years, Emma Shannon Williams, his two sons Travis (Kate) Williams and Jacob (Bethany) Williams. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Hadassah, Ansley, Jensen, and Gia.

Randy was a retired foreman for the Ohio Department of Transportation (Monroe County Division) and a faithful member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio.

He was known for his faith in Jesus, his big smile, his love of mules, and of course his blue over-alls. He always said that he was in a win/win situation after being diagnosed with lymphoma cancer in April of 2016. Because he was in Christ, cancer couldn’t beat him. He has won the battle and gained his reward.

Friends will be received at the Woodsfield Church of Christ, 860 Lewisville Road, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 with Chuck Schultheisz and Travis Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodsfield Church of Christ, 860 Lewisville Road, Woodsfield, Ohio.

Randy will always hold a special place in our hearts. Anyone who ever met him had the true pleasure of meeting a friendly smile, a slap on the back, and some kind of words of encouragement. He had a light inside him that was so obvious. I always loved listening to him lead prayers at church. You just knew that he was talking to his best friend whenever he talked to God. It's not easy to say goodbye to a man like Randy, but I know we'll see him again. Love to all who loved him. Be a light and carry on his legacy.

Love and hugs,
Rachel & Cody

Emma, Travis, Kate, Jacob and Bethany,
We thank you for the courage & faith you have shown us. God is using your family to teach others. Randy was the greatest teacher of all. He never faltered in his faith and in sharing it with all of us. You were blessed to have him - we were all blessed to have him. We are praying for God to give you an extra measure of comfort and peace as we say our final goodbyes to Randy here on earth and in the following days as you learn to live here without him. Till we all meet again in Heaven! What a day it will be. Love to you all!

So sorry that Randy had to leave us all here without him. He is happy in heaven, but we have to go on without him and that is so hard. He was a wonderful man, always cheerful and ready to help others. The last time I asked him how he was he said, "I think I'm ok, but my doctor doesn't agree with me--what do doctors know anyhow?" He will be missed by us all! Please accept our deepest sympathy for the whole family who has to carry on without him!

Emma, Travis, Jacob, Norma & Howard. So sorry to hear of Randy passing, my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Randy was quite a guy. His smile was captivating, and his heart Golden. Everywhere he went, I believe he knew someone there. Always taking time to stop and talk about old times, or talk about his mules. God has gained a wonderful man. May he give each of you Peace and Comfort at this difficult time, but also remember and celebrate his life. Sending my deepest sympathy to each of you.

Williams Family, my deepest sympathy on the passing or Randy. He always had a smile on
face and much humor to share. When I think of Randy I think of the bible verse, "Well done my good and faithful servant." As sick as he was, he never gave up and I believe his faith got stronger, and he did win at the end because he went to heaven to be with his Lord.

To: Em, Travis, Jacob, Mark, Howard, Norma, Mary and Families,

Please accept our most sincere sympathy in the passing of your loved one and our friend. Randy certainly was a people person and a great soul winner. We have had Revelation 14:13 on my minds, since we were told of his passing. Blessed are those who die in the Lord..............their works do follow them. He will be greatly missed. We will be keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers, now and in the coming days.

Emma, Travis and Jacob,
Comfort and blessings to you. Williams and Weddle families have been close for so many years. Randy and my dad had so many good times together - hunting, auctions, playing cards and sharing meals together. Emma, you and my mom endured all the tall tales and mischief with a smile. I will always remember Randy and Dad laughing about their adventures!
