Andrea Lynn "Andi" Smith

Andrea Lynn “Andi” Smith, 66, of Woodsfield, Ohio went home on September 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her devoted husband Harry, daughter Sunessa, and grandson Drew. She was born August 22, 1955, in Rockwood, Tennessee. She was a 1973 graduate of Kenmore High School.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of almost 44 years, Harry Smith.  She is also survived by her father, Charles Burkholder of Uniontown, OH; brothers, Butch (Vikki) Burkholder of Gun Barrel, TX, Brian (Tracy) Burkholder of Uniontown, OH; daughter, Sunessa (Adam) Tollie of Lewisville, OH; grandsons Drew and Cash; step-daughters, Gail Roberts and Kelly Dreher. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.

Harry and Andi were married in their home on an unseasonably warm day, on December 17th, 1977. They moved to the hills of Monroe County in 1979 where they built their own log cabin and ran the Skyline Drive-in. Andi ran the restaurant and raised her daughter in it where she taught her the art of customer service and conversation. She never knew a stranger.  Over the years, she had many careers managing the local Dominos, dispatcher, deputy and DARE officer serving the Monroe County Sheriff’s office and helping women and children through the court system as a victim/witness advocate for the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office.

Anyone who knew Andi, knew her sense of humor and her love of pranks and general shenanigans.  She gave great life advice, whether it was about surviving high school or the pains of growing older.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Webb Cutlip, step-mother, Wilma Feucht Burkholder, sister-in-law, Tricia Burkholder and many other lives she touched.

Family and friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. with Christy Thomas officiating. A meal will follow at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 303 South Main St., Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.

To my rock, my daughter Sunessa and my grandson Drew who stayed with me for the final hours and the support of grandson Cash and son-in-law Adam.
