Anna Marie Wise

     Anna Marie Wise, of Woodsfield, Ohio, (Antioch community) passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026.

     She was born November 12, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Russell Joseph Hayes and Margaret Elliott Hayes.

     Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Wise, whom she married on May 5, 1952. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Mary, Peggy, and Josephine, and her brother, William “Billy” Hayes.

     A devoted Catholic, Anna was a faithful member of Saint Sylvester Catholic Church in Woodsfield, Ohio.

     She will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her three sons: Donald (Brenda) Wise of Sandyville, Ohio; Robert “Bobby” (Kathy) Wise of Woodsfield, Ohio; and Rodney (Sherri) Wise of Woodsfield, Ohio.

     She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Jason Wise, Sascha Wise, Charles Joseph “C.J.” Wise, and Denise Semon; and eight great-grandchildren: Noah, Faith, Kydan, Lylian, Skylin, Jailey, Jettsen, and Harper.

     Anna enjoyed reading and especially cherished the time she spent with her family. Her love, faith, and gentle presence will be remembered by all who knew her.

     A private visitation and service will be held at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio with burial to follow in the Antioch Cemetery, Antioch, Ohio.
