Barbara J. Gordon

     Barbara J. Gordon, 79, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.

     She was born at Wheeling, West Virginia on April 4, 1941 a daughter of the late Paul Robert and Ora Jean Atwell DeBolt.

     She was a retired cook at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio.  Barbara enjoyed her cats, making homemade pies, cooking and spending time with her family.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Gordon and a sister, Ruth Ann Bernard.

     Surviving are her husband, Thomas E. “Tom” Gordon Sr. whom she married on July 15, 1961; two daughters, Paula (Paul) Crawford of Washington State, Karen Gordon of Toronto, Ohio; one son, Thomas E. Gordon Jr. of Alliance, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

     There will be no visitation.

     Private memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrill officiating.

     Inurnment will be held at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
