Bernard Boyd Okey Jr.

     Bernard Boyd Okey Jr., 65, of Summerfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his home.

     He was born at Newark, Ohio on November 6, 1959, a son of the late Bernard and Florence Irene Robinson Okey.

     Bernard was a former laborer, working at various sawmills and GMN Tri-County, Caldwell, Ohio. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

     He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and cooking chicken on the big screen.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Travis Spires and a sister, Debra Spires.

   Surviving are his wife, Karen DeLong Okey; three nieces and a nephew who he helped raise, Tia Adams, Ricki Maynard, Desiree Okey, Jonathan Okey; one sister, Brenda Wise; three brothers, David (Joyce) Spires, Mike (Judy) Spires, Bruce (Stephanie) Okey; numerous nieces and nephews.

   There will be no visitation or service.

   Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.

  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Brubach- Watters Funeral Home, Summerfield, Ohio.
