Billie Jean Elliott, 77, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Ohio State University East Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Flushing, Ohio on June 10, 1942 a daughter of the late Billy and Marie Triplett Holstein.
She was a retired employee of the Monroe County Jobs and Family Services. She was a former employee of Pat’s Gift Shop and Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio. She was also a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio where she sang in the choir and was a member of the C.W.C.
Billie loved to sew, decorate cakes, cooking, crafting, tole painting, feeding people, making caramel corn, and being a MeMaw to her grandkids. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Straight; a brother, Larry Holstein; a great nephew, Kyle Gatten; a niece, Michele Jerico; a nephew, Ern Carpenter; and her dog, “Gracie”.
Surviving are her husband, Terry of 58 years, whom she married on February 17, 1962; one daughter, Denise (James) Grant of Pataskala, Ohio; two sons, Michael (Penny) Elliott of Beallsville, Ohio, Scott (Lori) Elliott of Cambridge, Ohio; one brother, Ed (Janet) Holstein of St. Clairsville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Allie and Cassie Myers, Ericca Sichina and Chloe Elliott; one great-granddaughter, Ava Folts; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Lisa Gatten.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 with vigil services at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Timothy Davison as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
