Brian K. Rose

     Brian K. Rose, 68, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

     He was born at Marietta, Ohio on November 14, 1957 a son of the late Jerry and Marie Kinney Rose.

     Brian was a retired rural mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service and during his time as a rural mail carrier he could be seen fixing mailboxes along his route that had been knocked down for various reasons. He was a former volunteer with the Woodsfield Volunteer Fire Department, Woodsfield, Ohio, former volunteer at Broken Timber Outdoor Education Center, Hannibal, Ohio and a former youth basketball coach. Also, in his dedication to helping and caring for others he was a tissue donor to Lifeline of Ohio.    

     For many years, Brian served the Woodsfield Church of Christ as an Elder, Deacon and Sunday School teacher, giving his time and heart to the work of the church. His faith in the Lord was steadfast, and his unfailing love for his family was constant reflection of that faith.

     He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and gardening which included growing several varieties of tomatoes.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Eric Rose.

   Surviving are one daughter, Faythe Mercer of Canton, Ohio; two sons, Levi (Frank) Rose of Baltimore, Maryland and Ethan (Latara) Rose of Beallsville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Malachi Rose-Burton, Landree Rose, Blaine Friday, Canaan and Clover Rose; two brothers, Terry (Juanita) Rose of Woodsfield, Ohio and Kevin (Beth Ann) Rose of Graysville, Ohio, several nieces and nephews; special friends, Roy and Sharon Brannon and the mother of his children, Carla Rose.

    Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2026, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, with Keith Jones officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Graysville Church of Christ Cemetery, Graysville, Ohio.
