Carl Edward Antill, 89, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in New Concord, Ohio on March 10, 1931 a son of the late Clarence and Edna Davis Antill.
He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio and formerly worked for Dave Rubel installing T.V. cable many years ago. He was a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield Ohio and served in the Ohio National Guard.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Paul and Larry Antill; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Antill.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Grosklos Antill whom he married in July 1955; three daughters, Carla (Brian) Rose of Woodsfield, Ohio, Barb Backus of Lewisville, Ohio, Tammy Matz of Medina, Ohio; two sons, Tom (Kathy) Antill of Caldwell, Ohio, Jody Antill of Newark, Ohio; one sister, Bonnie Hill of Marietta, Ohio; one brother, Wilbert (Joyce) Antill of Warner, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation for family only will be held at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio with Scott McFarland officiating.
