Carl Rousenberg III Obituary

           

            Carl F. “Bud” Rousenberg III, 78, of Jerusalem, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia, surrounded by his loving family.

            He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on June 2, 1942 a son of the late Carl F. Rousenberg Jr. and Bondalee Mae Sloan Rousenberg.

            He was a Christian by faith and a member of Bush Church of Christ, Malaga, Ohio. He was a former maintenance foremen at the former Ormet Corp, Hannibal, Ohio; self-employed in the oil and gas industry; a director at Peoples Savings Bank, New Matamoras, Ohio; former chairmen of the Monroe County Republican Party; lifetime member of NRA; member of the Southeast Ohio Oil and Gas Association and the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.

            Bud enjoyed farming, traveling and spending time with his family.      

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Rousenberg and Clinton Rousenberg; an infant sister, Rebecca Rousenberg and a son in law, Troy Baker.

            Surviving are his wife, Lya Lynn Haley Rousenberg whom he married on December 19, 1964; three daughters, Cara (Greg) Wilson of Jerusalem, Ohio, Gina Taylor of Woodsfield, Ohio, Shana (Doug) Hartley of Lewisville, Ohio; one son Aaron (Betty) Rousenberg of Jerusalem, Ohio; one sister, Sheila (Ron) Martin of Woodsfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Seth Rosen, Justin Wilson, Justine Baker, Matrasa (Tyler) Kinzy, Brittany (David) Van Meenen, Sydnee Hartley, Owen Baker, Gage Modra, Jessica Hartley; three great grandsons, Karson, Kroy and Kohyn Kinzy; two great grandchildren on the way, Brantley Van Meenen and Karmen Baker; several nieces and nephews; a brother in law, Jan (Virgie) Haley of Woodsfield, Ohio.

            Due to Covid, private graveside services will be held at the Rousenberg Family Cemetery near Jerusalem, Ohio with Harry Summers officiating.

            Memorials contributions may be made to the Christian Covenant Academy, 185 Shady Ave, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793 or to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
