Charles Cline Obituary

     Charles Ray Cline, 89, of Lewisville, Ohio, went to be with our heavenly Father on December 5, 2025, at his home with family by his side.

     He was born to the late Lawrence and Mary (Smith) Cline on July 15, 1936, in Graysville, Ohio.

     He was a former member of the Bracken United Methodist Church and Lewisville United Methodist Church.

     He enjoyed going to church, reading his Bible, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, and watching game shows. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he was a Sergeant and a heavy equipment mechanic. He was also employed on the pipeline, in the oil fields, and as a roll grinder at Consolidated Aluminum/ Conalco/ Ormet where he later retired from.

     He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen (Anderson) Cline, of the home and his three children, Darla (Patrick) Shannon, of Gautier, MS, Larry (Ladie) Cline, of Columbus, OH, and Linda (Gene) VanMeenen, of Lewisville, OH.

     Surviving siblings are, Ruth Kreimer, of Cold Springs, KY; Frances Felton, of Reynoldsburg, OH; Gladys (Darrell) Benson, of Marietta, OH; Dorothy (Paul) Quappe, of Columbus, OH; Alice (Wade) Ward, of Reynoldsburg, OH; Judy (Bob) Love, of Columbus, OH; and two sisters-in-law, Eileen (Bob) LaFollette and Joann Robertson both of Lewisville, OH.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Cline; brothers-in-law, James Felton, Larry Kreimer, Kirk Robertson, and Earl Anderson, and sisters-in-law, Shirley Cline and June Johnson.

    He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren, Ryan of Woodsfield, OH, Jessica (Dale) of Harlingen, TX, Stormie (David) of Independence, OH, David (Brittany) of Woodsfield, OH, Alex of Gautier, MS, Ian (Lyndey) of Uniontown, PA, and Amia of Columbus, OH.

     He also adored all of his great-grandchildren, Kyleeah, Dale, Hunter, Oliver, Brantley, Alexis, Barrett, and several nieces and nephews.

     A special thank you to Amedysis Hospice of St. Clairsville, Diane Heskett of Barnesville, Eileen Piatt of Lewisville, OH, Ray (Candy) Hathaway of Lewisville, OH, and David Bright of Woodsfield, OH. Our family is so grateful for everyone who helped during this time of need. There were so many and not all could be listed. Our apologies for all we missed.

     A private visitation and service will be held at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
