Charles J. "Chuck" Landers

     Charles J. “Chuck” Landers, 42, of Varnville, South Carolina (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Friday, July 17, 2026 at his home.

     He was born at Akron, Ohio on July 10, 1984 a son of Deborah Rice Marling who survives of Woodsfield, Ohio and Charles Jay Landers who survives of Akron, Oho.

     Chuck was a long time employee of Domino’s Pizza holding various positions with the company. He was also a member of the former Free Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     He enjoyed playing video games online, table top games, taking his dog for a ride and being with his family and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ron Saho; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Virgie Landers; step-father, Steve Toohey; uncles, Bryan Rice and Lewis Landers.

     Surviving in addition to his parents are his step-father, Michael “Bull” Marling of Woodsfield, Ohio; step-mother, Rose Landers of Akron, Ohio; grandparents, Bertha (Fred) Perkins of New Johnsonville, Tennessee; Bryan and Connie Rice of Milford, Delaware; multiple family members and his best friend, David Post of Hopwood, Pennsylvania.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Homes, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026 with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m.

     In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
