Charles W. Baker

     Charles W. Baker, 93, of Marietta, Ohio (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Brookdale Assisted Living, Marietta, Ohio.

     He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on February 15, 1925, a son of the late Martin Western Baker and Francis Lula Ricer Baker.

     Charles was a retired Superintendent for the Village of Woodsfield Wastewater Department, Woodsfield, Ohio, a member of the Woodsfield, Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Ohio where he served as an Elder for many years, and a U.S. Navy veteran serving his country during W.W. II.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Kinney Baker on September 20, 2014; one son, Kirk Baker; one daughter; Marsha Fuscardo; one granddaughter, Rachelle Dick; and one great granddaughter, Isabella Stalder; seven brothers, Bob, Claude, Ray, Floyd, Paul, Ed, and John; one sister, Mary Catherine Stevens.

     Surviving are a son, Neil (Pamela) Baker of Williamstown, West Virginia; one brother, Martin Baker of Woodsfield, Ohio; six grandchildren, Sheena Stalder, Allison Stephens, Jennifer Marqvardt, Kayla Parsons, Chelsea Flowers, Krista Baker; and seven great grandchildren.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018.

     Friends will then be received from 10:00 a.m. until time of military and funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Woodsfield Church of Christ, 860 Lewisville Road, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Burial will follow in the Graysville Church of Christ Cemetery, Graysville, Ohio.
