Cheryl Ann Day, 59, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 22, 1963 a daughter of the late Howard Eugene Marty and Vivian Ann Myers Marty.
She was a former lunch aide for the Northridge School District and helped with family support groups while her husband was in the military.
Cheryl was a member of the Southgate Church of Christ, Heath, Ohio and was also a former Girl Scout and later became a Girl Scout leader.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, doing puzzles, and playing dominos with the ladies of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Marty.
Surviving are her husband Carl Day whom she married on June 13, 1993; two daughters, Alison (Kyle) Chandler of Mansfield, Ohio, Casey Day of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Thomas Marty of Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kylie and Crew and one grandchild on the way.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 and from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 with Rob Hartman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southgate Church of Christ, 1075 S. 30th Street, Heath, OH 43056.
