Crystal Charlene Crum

     Crystal Charlene Crum, 36, a resident of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center. Born September 24, 1982 in Burlingame, California, she was the daughter of the late Tad Genkichi Maeshiro and Amanda Charlene White, who survives of Greensboro, Georgia. On May 28, 2005 in State College, she married Paul H. Crum who survives in Boalsburg along with their son Landen Paul Crum.

     Crystal was a 2000 graduate of State College High School and graduated from Penn State University in 2004 with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.

     Crystal was a homemaker and devoted her time to volunteering in activities and organizations which her son was a part of. She served multiple years as a homeroom parent at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School. She also served on the board of the State College Little Lions Youth Football program. She was an individual who would go out of her way to help support a cause she believed in.

     Being an avid photographer, Crystal’s creativity knew no bounds. She loved to plan birthdays and events just to see the smiling faces of adult and children alike. Crystal spent countless hours on every attention to detail just to ensure an overall positive experience.

     Crystal was also a devout and fiercely loyal wife and mother to the family. She ensured the family was always taken care of and would often put their needs ahead of her own. She was an anchor during the most difficult times, a problem solver, and always there to offer emotional support to others when needed.

     She was a member of Our Lady of victory Catholic Church in State College.

     Friends will be received at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

      Friends will then be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio on from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 35560 Miltonsburg-Calais Rd, Miltonsburg, OH, with Father David Gaydosik as the celebrant.

     Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical costs, in care of Paul Crum, 307 Homestead Lane, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
