Darlene Groves

     Darlene Groves, 74, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Altercare Nursing Home, Cambridge, Ohio.

     She was born at Marietta, Ohio on November 5, 1951 a daughter of the late Lee Adam Edgington and Bertha Vivian Hackathorn Edgington.

     Darlene was a homemaker and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed crafting and watching British T.V.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Lee Groves; a grandson, Brandon Groves; one brother, Jerry Edgington; three sisters, Julia Walters, Geneva Hamm and Katherine Bobb.

     Surviving are her husband, Howard Groves, whom she married on August 18, 1971; one son, Howard (Jamie) Groves; three brothers, Jim (Betty) Edgington, Richard (Janice) Edgington, Lee (Rhonda) Edgington; one sister, Vicky (Charles) Sparks; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio Friday, April 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00p.m. with Pastor Herb Alexander of the Grace Christian Church officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio.
