Daryl R. Highman, 76, of Senecaville, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, Ohio.
He was born at Graysville, Ohio on June 17, 1947 a son of the late Lawrence and Gladys Smith Highman.
He was a retired truck driver traveling all over the United States and was a former coal miner at the Y & O Mine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Daryl was also a member of the V.F.W. post 5303, Woodsfield, Ohio.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and driving fast.
Surviving are his wife, Nina Smithberger Highman, whom he married on September 14, 1968; two sons, Rick (Tammie) Highman of Zanesville, Ohio, Rusty (Heather) Highman of Senecaville, Ohio; four brothers, Paul (Becky) Highman of Woodsfield, Ohio, Greg (Susan) Highman of Graysville, Ohio, Roger (Jackie) Highman of Woodsfield, Ohio, Roy (Melody) Highman of Graysville, Ohio; one granddaughter, Alexis Highman; one step granddaughter, Kaylee Smith.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
