David W. Bright

            David W. Bright, 70, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital of the Ohio Valley in Wheeling, West Virginia.

            He was born near Woodsfield, Ohio on September 19, 1949 a son of the late Harry and Mary Thomas Bright.

            Dave was a former manager for Riesbeck’s Food Market for 48 years. He was also a life long farmer and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and telling a good story.

            In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert, Donald and Byron Bright; one sister, Donna Bright.

            He is survived by his significant partner of 15 years, Cheryl Daugherty of Lewisville, Ohio; one daughter, Daisha North of Barnesville, Ohio; three sons, David Bright and his companion Danetta Knowlton of Woodsfield, Ohio, Derek Bright and his companion Josie Mahoney of Woodsfield, Ohio, Dustin Bright of Woodsfield, Ohio; three sisters, Wilda Paden of New Martinsville, West Virginia, Clara (Alvin) Claus of Wooster, Ohio, Janet Clark and her companion, Dave Weyer; four brothers, Paul (Ruth) Bright of Ashland, Ohio, Richard (Karen) Bright of Shreve, Ohio, Ralph (Vicky) Bright of Lucas, Ohio, Ronald (Claudia) Bright of Ashland, Ohio; former wife and mother of his children Tanya Bright of Barnesville, Ohio; one grandson, Garrus North of Barnesville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

            There will be no visitation or service.

            Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

            Arrangements entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
