David L. Guiler

      David L. Guiler, 64, of Summerfield, Ohio passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Ohio Health Southeastern Medical Center, Cambridge, Ohio.

     He was born at Caldwell, Ohio on March 2, 1961 a son of the late Myron Dale Guiler and Myrle Delores Poulton Guiler.

     David was a former employee of Adams Well Service, Cambridge, Ohio and was owner/operator of Guiler and Son Trucking, Summerfield, Ohio.

     He enjoyed working on trucks and spending time with family.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lee “Buckwheat” Guiler; a sister, Tammy Gerst; brother-in-law, Tim Huffman.

     Surviving are his wife, Tammy Elliott Guiler who he married on August 23, 2003; two daughters, Tana Guiler of Marysville, Ohio, Sena Guiler of Columbus, Ohio; three step-daughters, Lacy (Chris) Brewer of Marietta, Ohio, Ashley McKnight of Akron, Ohio, Amanda Brotton of Caldwell, Ohio; three sisters, Sharon Kay (Terry) Smith of Bethesda, Ohio, Delores Huffman of Barnesville, Ohio, Carolyn McElfresh of Beverly, Ohio and companion Roger Morganstein; three brothers, Dale Guiler and his companion, Joy of Caldwell, Ohio; Rick (Lisa) Guiler of Waterford, Ohio, Bryan Guiler and companion, Jeannie, of Jerusalem, Ohio; several grandchildren including Cameron Guiler who he raised; several nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 with Pastor Dee Ryan officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.

     Memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
