David J. Kuhn

     David J. Kuhn, 60, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

     He was born at Barnesville, Ohio on October 21, 1962 a son of Joseph Kuhn who survives of Lewisville, Ohio and the late Martha Cornelius Kuhn.

     Dave was a retired coordinator for the Monroe County E.M.S.; a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member and a former chief of the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Woodsfield Emergency Squad.

     Dave had a lot of memories attending the former Jamboree in the Hills and always enjoyed helping others in a time of need.

     Surviving in addition to his father, are his daughter, Erica (Ryan) Dyar of Marietta, Ohio; three brothers, Michael Kuhn, Ronnie Kuhn, Chris (Jodie) Kuhn all of Lewisville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jase David Dyar, Coletyn Dyar and Alyssa Dyar; several nieces and nephews.

      Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 with vigil services at 7:30 p.m.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik as the celebrant.

     Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.

     Memorial contribution may be made to the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department, 46450 State Route 145, Lewisville, Ohio.

     The family wishes to thank the Hospice of Marietta and Amedysis Hospice for their extended care to David.
