Dorothy Jean Templeton

Dorothy J. Templeton, 87, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the home of her daughter in Woodsfield.

She was born at Clarkson, Ohio on September 17, 1937 a daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Blouir Hole.

Dorothy was a retired janitor at the Woodsfield Elementary School.

She enjoyed traveling and painting and was an artist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Templeton, who passed away January 25, 2018; an infant sister and a great-grandson, Kye O’Brien.

Surviving are two daughters, Kitty Lockett of Columbus, Ohio, Kerima (John) O’Brien, Woodsfield, Ohio; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or service. Following cremation, inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
