Franklin S. Scott, 87, of Westerville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Paramount Senior Living at Westerville, Ohio.
He was born in Lewisville, Ohio on February 6, 1934 a son of the late Harmon G. and Thelma L. Kuhn Scott.
He was a former school teacher at the Upper Arlington High School, Upper Arlington, Ohio and retired from the Ohio Department of Education, Columbus, Ohio. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Westerville, Ohio.
When he was younger he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and softball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Earley Scott; an infant daughter, Mary Lou Scott; three brothers Jimmy Scott, Jerry Scott, Michael Scott. Three sisters Bonnie Scott, Charlene Lenser, Debby Scott.
Surviving are two daughters Laura Scott of Westerville, Ohio; Anna (Joe) Adson of Westerville, Ohio; one son John Scott of Baltimore, Maryland. Two sisters Janet Johnson of Croton, Ohio; Nancy (Bob) Williams of Ostrander, Ohio. Three brothers Richard Scott of Columbus, Ohio; Gene Scott and Phillip Scott, both of Lewisville, Ohio; one grandson Asher Adson and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Wednesday June 2, 2021.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 2, 2021 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Father Timothy Davison as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
