Gary Lee Dailey, 71, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Astoria Place of Barnesville, Ohio.
He was born in Caldwell, Ohio on June 24, 1947 a son of the late Herzel and Eunice Freitag Dailey.
He was a former coal miner and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, riding his scooter and sitting on his porch watching the traffic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Dailey and step-sister, Doris Marie Weber.
Surviving are a son Michael Lee of North Carolina; two sisters, Garna Corbin of Barnesville, Ohio, Debbie (Jimmy) McKelvey of Clarington, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of military and funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 with Rev. David Cottrill officiating.
Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.
