George J. Mehler

          George J. Mehler, 67, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at his home.

          He was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on August 1, 1951 a son of the late William and Dorothy Hughes Mehler.

          He was a retired employee of the Conalco Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio and an avid baseball fan. George was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio, where he was a member of the Purgatorial Society.

          In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernetta McCaslin, Marie Kirland, and Rose Mehler; two brothers, Fred Mehler and Richard Mehler.

          Surviving are two sisters, Kathleen Hannahs of Woodsfield, Ohio, Clara (Bill) Kelley of Woodsfield, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Gwen Mehler of Woodsfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

          A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 330 S Main St, Woodsfield, OH with Rev. David Gaydosik as the Celebrant.

          Burial followed in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
