Georgia G. Brown

Georgia G Brown, 100, of Woodsfield passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025. Georgia was born in Woodsfield, OH on June 8, 1925, the daughter of the late John Capel and Bessie O Gray McGarry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield for 50 years and the Pythian Sisters Lydia Temple 199 for 72 years. She worked in the public in Woodsfield for 43 years before retiring. She will be remembered for her loving, caring, happy personality. Georgia was preceded in death by husband Everett E Brown, son Virgil W Brown and sister Ruby M Cline. She is survived by daughter-in-law Robyn Brown; Grandchildren Ashley D Brown (Josh), Chad W Brown (Nicole) and Kelly Bast O’Grady (Shane); Great Grandchildren Ava A. Brown, Dominic S Powell, Quinn Charlton, Lucy Charlton and Abigail Bast; and numerous friends.

Visitation for Georgia will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield, from 10:30 to 11:30AM, with funeral services immediately following.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Baptist Church of Woodsfield in lieu of flowers.
