Henry J. Marley, 84, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home following a long and hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born at Glen Robbins, Ohio on May 19, 1939 a son of the late Henry and Stella Purkoski Marley.
He was a graduate of the Beallsville High School and was a retired employee of the former Conalco Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio and also a member of the Monroe County Sportsman’s Club.
Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, painting cars and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Hoffman.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Mann Marley whom he married on January 9, 1960; one daughter, Cindy Marley of Barnesville, Ohio; three sons, John (Marilyn) Marley of Malaga, Ohio; Kevin Marley of Woodsfield, Ohio, Jeff (Lisa) Marley of Lewisville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Darien Decker, Kaleigh Marley, Alexa Marley, Michael Marley, Mariah Marley, Morgan Marley; five great-grandchildren; his fur companion “Dummy”; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan, Ohio.
