Jack G Brown

    Jackie Gene “Jack” Brown, 86, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

     He was born near Sardis, Ohio on October 7, 1937 a son of the late Floyd and Alma Belle Rosenlieb Brown.

     Jack was a retired carpenter by trade and a former custodian at the Citizens National Bank, Woodsfield, Ohio.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Jack enjoyed farming and baking pies.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded  in death by his wife, Martha Dougherty Brown who died in March 2000, an infant brother and a niece, Lisa Brown.

     He is survived by a brother, Paul (Marian Sue) Brown of Trail Run; a sister Nancy Pryor of Columbus, Ohio; nieces Paula Brown Canter, Gina Brown Workman, Michele Pryor Smith, Carmen Pryor Blankenship, Denise Ayers; nephews, Darrin Brown, Jason Brown; several great nieces and nephews.

     Private visitation for family only will be held at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio.

     Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Timothy Davison officiating.
