James Richard Dick, 73, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on September 14, 1947 a son of Freda Smithberger Dick who survives of Lewisville, Ohio and the late Clarence Dick.
He was an equipment operator and a farmer, and a hard worker that was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making tobacco twists. He was a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church near Lewisville, Ohio. Another heart of gold that will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John G. Dick.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters, Mary (Rodney) Butler of Calais, Ohio, Judy (Troy) Russell of Beallsville, Ohio; five brothers, Neil (Carolyn) Dick of Lewisville, Ohio, Joe Dick of Lewisville, Ohio, Mike Dick of Graysville, Ohio Lewis Dick of Lewisville, Ohio, Stephen Dick and his fiancée Lisa Ferguson of Lewisville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio, Monday, August 23, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Following visitation, graveside services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, near Lewisville, Ohio.
