James W. Hooper, 73, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born near Antioch, Ohio on July 25, 1946 a son of the late Charles and Delores Shepard Hooper.
He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a member of the Antioch Sportsman’s Club and Dog Skin Hunt Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Dailey Hooper whom he married on August 19, 1962; two sons, Kurt (Renee) Hooper of Antioch, Ohio, Todd (Missy) Hooper of Antioch, Ohio; two sisters, a half-brother; five grandchildren, Brock Price, Levi, Erica, Brittany and Jarett Hooper; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 with Keith Jones officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Antioch Cemetery, Antioch, Ohio.
