Jan L. Haley, 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at his home.
He was born at New Lexington, Ohio on June 19, 1939 a son of the late Harold and Carolyn Hankison Haley.
He was a 1958 graduate of Woodsfield High School; former employee of Burke’s Towing; retired millwright for the former Conalco Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; a U.S. Army veteran; a member of the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the GS Club of America and the Buick Club of America.
He enjoyed walking his dog, family gatherings, attending car shows, traveling to get car parts, working in his garden, bowling, attending church and being the maintenance man at the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Leanna Louise Jones Haley; 2nd wife, Frances Kay Colvin Haley; and a brother-in-law, Carl “Bud” Rousenberg.
Surviving are his wife, Virgie Davis Haley; one daughter, Jill (Ron) Petty of Baltimore, Ohio; two sons, William “Bill” Haley of Woodsfield, Ohio and Jon (Victoria) Haley of Nutter Fork, West Virginia; one step-daughter, Teresa (Brian) Holmes of Lisbon, Ohio; two step-sons, Scott Davis of East Liverpool, Ohio and Charles (Allison) Husted of Bellaire, Ohio; one sister, Lynn Rousenberg of Jerusalem, Ohio; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the First United Methodist Church, 136 N. Main Street, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jerusalem Cemetery, Jerusalem, Ohio with military graveside services.
