Jason Michael Smith

Jason M Smith, 50 of Woodsfield, OH passed away Monday January 6, 2025 at the Select Specialty Hospital Wheeling, WV.

He was born July 5, 1974, in New Martinsville, WV to Linda (Coplan) Smith who survives of Woodsfield, OH.

Jason was a former employee of the former Industrial Paint and Strip, Woodsfield, OH, Katko, St, Clairsville, OH and ShalePro.

He was known to his family as Jay or Uncle Jay. His friends called him Smitty. He had the best sense of humor. If you were talking to him, it's assured you would be laughing. He was always good for a sarcastic comment or clever come back. He loved hunting and the outdoors. He was a dog dad for 12 years to his best boy Bean (2012-2024). 

Jason is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Donna Coplan. Left to mourn are his Mother Linda Smith of Woodsfield, OH, one sister Misty Roach of Woodsfield, OH, two nephews Devon (Teresa) Roach of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Hayden Burkhead of Woodsfield, OH one great-nephew Matthias Roach of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

Per Jason's wishes there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
