John Randolph Day

     John R. Day, 68, of Sandyville, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Hennis  Care Center, Bolivar, Ohio.

     He was born at Canton, Ohio on June 20, 1953 a son of the late Sheridan Day Jr. and Barbara Ellen Book Day.

     He was a retired security guard for Timken Steel, Canton, Ohio and a member of the East Sparta Church of Christ, East Sparta, Ohio.

     He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Eileen Elliott Day on February 2, 2019.

     Surviving are one son, John S. Day of Canton, Ohio; one daughter, Sara (Josh) Campbell of Coshocton, Ohio; one brother, Carl (Cheryl) Day of Johnstown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Addison and Sophia Campbell; two nieces Alison (Kyle) Chandler and Casey Day.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 with services at 6:00 p.m. with Keith Call officiating.  Following the Funeral Service, a cremation will take place with inurnment at a later date in the Green Lawn Cemetery, East Sparta, Ohio.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the East Sparta Church of Christ at 7901 Cleveland Ave. S.E., Magnolia, Ohio 44643.
