John W. Reid

    John W. Reid, 75 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at his home.

     He was born at Barnesville, Ohio on January 23, 1946 a son of the late Lawrence and Mabel Kirkbride Reid.

     He was a former truck driver for Gulf Oil and various other trucking firms.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and was currently a Wayne Township Trustee in Monroe County, Ohio.

     John enjoyed putting up hay and was a professional shopper.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Reid.

     Surviving are his wife, Martha Louise Reid who he married on November 1, 1969 and his dog, Molly.

     Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday July 13, 2021 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 14, 2021 with Tim Fleeman officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
