Junior Gardner, 82, of Graysville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born near Rinard Mills, Ohio on June 14, 1936 a son of the late Marvin and Hattie Holland Gardner.
He was a retired carpenter and was a U.S. Army veteran; a member of the Graysville and Community Volunteer Fire Departments, Graysville, Ohio; and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2302, Woodsfield, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Glenn, Wick, Willard, Gail, and Hillard Gardner; four sisters, Garnet Sivard, Opal Moore, Beryl Messenheimer and Norma Jean Rinard.
Surviving are five daughters, Vana (Gary) Cecil of Lewisville, Ohio, Jerri Bach of Clarington, Ohio, Maria Conrad of Woodsfield, Ohio, Peggy Gardner of Lewisville, Ohio, Summer Barbee of Cameron, Ohio; three sons, Terry (Violet) Gardner of Gallipolis, Ohio, Randy Gardner of Graysville, Ohio, Rick (Debbie) Gardner of Graysville, Ohio; two sisters, Wanda Pfouts and Pauline Brown, both of Lowell, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 where funeral and military services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 with Anthony McSwords officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio.
