Kenneth E. Kuhn, 88, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on May 1, 1933 a son of the late Leander and Genevieve Smithberger Kuhn.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the B & N Coal Co., Dexter City, Ohio; a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a former fire chief for the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Dept., Lewisville, Ohio; and was a former Summit township trustee in Monroe County, Ohio.
Kenny enjoyed growing tobacco, making molasses and also watching NASCAR racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hosey Kuhn, his son, Mark Kuhn, two brothers, Jimmy and Paul Kuhn.
Surviving are one daughter, Kristina (Kevin) Lafferre of Lewisville, Ohio; one son, Brian (Kay) Kuhn of Lewisville, Ohio; six sisters, Rose Ann Pero of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rita Kuhn of Cambridge, Ohio, Mary Joyce (Russell) Betts of Lewisville, Ohio, Carol Kuhn of Woodsfield, Ohio, Lucy (Delmas) Betts of Lewisville, Ohio, Elaine “Toots” Biedenbach of Lewisville, Ohio; one brother, Joe Kuhn of Lewisville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kristy (David) Bettinger, Dustin Kuhn, Morgan Kuhn and fiancé Ben Bond, Trent Lafferre, Lynsey (Jacob) Beaver; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 9:00 a.m. til 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Timothy Davison as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.
